We were seated and attended to promptly which was amazing! The dining area was bright and pretty average. We had the Queso Fundido as our appetizer. It was delicious! For my main i had the Chalupas aka Tosatadas. So yummy! The meal comes with two Chalupad, rice, and refried beans. I had one grilled chicken Chalupa and one grilled steak Chalupa. They were both good but the steak outshined the chicken. The rice was perfect and the refried beans were very tasty. The food was so good, I blacked out on taking pics...lol.

My buddy took me here for dinner. We were told to sit anywhere. Our waiter immediately gave us menus and drinks. Food came out in about 10 minutes and everything was delicious and fresh! Our waiter was very attentive and made sure we were happy and satisfied with our meals. Definitely will be back soon.

Welcoming and friendly service, Food was tasty, fried fish tacos better than the grilled. Definitely one of the better Mexican restaurants but not 5 stars. Service was very slow on the day we went but the chips, salsa and beer helped. All in all would still recommend.

My friend and I have a tradition of having lunch at Casita Tejas before catching a show at the Seminole Theater next door. I really enjoy it here - it's a no-nonsense atmosphere and is always packed, which is a sign of how good it is. My order doesn't change - Burrito Norteño, which is a steak burrito filled with grilled onions (I ask for no onions, as I hate them!), rice and cilantro, smothered with salsa suisa and melted monterrey jack cheese. Served with sour cream, plus refried pinto beans and rice.

We had a very nice, filling lunch at casita tejas! They start you off with warm chips and salsa, and right away, they refill you with a brand new basket. It was the same thing with our drinks--instant refills. The food was also delicious. We had the mole enchiladas and the burrito norteno. The mole enchiladas had a delicious mole sauce, heavy on the cumin and very tasty. The burrito noreno had their steak fajita inside with cheese, rice and cilantro. It also had cheese on the outside of the burrito and had a nice lime sour cream to dip in. The restaurant was clean and relatively quiet. I would definitely return to try new things.

My last night in Homestead after spending three days exploring the local National Parks. Using my personalized algorithm for finding places to eat in new cities, I deduced that I should come here. A nice little American Mexican restaurant near the main downtown area. After luckily stumbling upon a parking spot, I wandered in and got a seat. I ordered way too much food. Startedd off with the Mexican Bullets (jalapeno pepper roasted with your choice of tasty chicken, beef and cheese covered with ranchera sauce and Monterey jack). Very good, like an upgraded chili relleno, get this. Super Nachos (tortilla chips topped with refried beans and ground beef, shredded beef or chicken, topped with melted cheese, lettuce, tomato, jalapeno, and sour cream). Also very good. The topping distribution was on point, the most important part of any nacho dish. Quesadilla Villa (two large grilled flour tortilla filled with melted Monterey jack cheese, shredded or ground beef or chicken, served with lettuce and with sour cream). I would skip this. Don't get me wrong, it was a perfectly fine quesadilla, but it was boring compared to everything else. And the main event, the Guadalajara Platter (Mexican crispy cheese chile relleno, a tamal, a chicken enchilada, beef tostada and a beef taco). Sooo good. I love sampler platters. Solid relleno, not-dry tamal, a cheesy enchilada, a crispy tostada, and a taco. I finished up with an amazing. Quatro Leches (delicious pound cake saturated with a milk mixture, topped with caramel). Tres leches is my favorite dessert of all time. I couldn't figure out what the fourth milk was, but I'm sure it was in there somewhere. So soft and moist, this was the best part of the whole meal, no lie. Overall, this place is a five start representation of everything you would want in an American Mexican restaurant. I would absolutely come here again.
